i-onCONNECT doesn’t just take on engineering projects brought to us by our clients. We also initiate our own projects, with the goal of securing patents and developing and commercializing products. These projects demonstrate our engineering expertise and entrepreneurial savvy.
Most boat owners think the age-old problems resulting from high humidity in boat interiors – musty odor, condensation, fogged windows, damp belongings, and mold and mildew – are an unavoidable part of life on the sea. But this doesn’t need to be the case. Dryzone is a unique, proven technology that totally removes the moisture from a boat’s interior, from stem to stern. The Dryzone system enables boat owners to maintain a dry, healthy, comfortable, home-like living environment in their vessel’s interior, at any time of year and in any climate or temperature. The Dryzone dehumidifier units are safe, easy to operate, quiet, and energy efficient. Dryzone represents a revolution in interior comfort for boat owners.

WheelSense was developed to reduce the risk of wheel detachment accidents and to eliminate unnecessary re-torquing. WheelSense is an indicator that identifies loose wheel-nuts. Here’s how it works:
After wheel nuts are torqued to specs, sensor devices are placed on the wheel nuts in a uniform pattern. Once a wheel nut has loosened, the sensors will trigger an alarm, which prompts the operator to stop and check the wheel in question. The pointed shape of the sensor devices helps to identify the loosened nut. The sensor is also capable detecting other issues from the rotation of the wheel. If there is a binding brake, and different wheel speeds, an alarm will be triggered.

Tire Tread Sensor
Monitoring tire tread wear is important for the truck wheels to have enough friction with the road, and some mining truck tires are as expensive as $200K. We have therefore been working on the Tire Tread Sensor, which measures tread wear and informs the driver, ensuring the tire tread stays intact.
