At the core of i-onCONNECT’s top level facility in Burnaby, BC, we have two highly unique and useful areas that our clients can access: our TechLab and Clean Room. Both have been designed and constructed according to world class standards, and are available for start-ups and more established businesses to develop their projects.

TechLab

i-onCONNECT’s dry TechLab is a fully equipped workspace that’s tailor-made for you to realize your product development goals. This is where prototyping and engineering qualification take place. It can be conducted by your staff, or if you prefer, by i-onCONNECT. Either way, we assist and empower you with the latest methodologies and tools to achieve the necessary validations that will lead to successful commercialization for your products.

The TechLab includes ample space for you to get your hands dirty, work with the newest tools, and develop your prototypes to achieve engineering qualification. The lab includes a machine shop and electronics lab, and a Clean Room is right next to it.

Clean Room

i-onCONNECT offers a state-of-the art, positive pressure Clean Room for your manufacturing research. Our Clean Room is 12 x 12 SQF and ISO 7, Class 10,000. It comes equipped with benches for your working needs.

A clean room is required for high-tech manufacturing and work involving sensitive measurements. Access to clean rooms can be difficult as they are in high demand. The i-onCONNECT Clean Room is easy to book and access. It is specifically designed to accommodate sensitive measurement setups, such as a particle sensor test. This test requires a clean room with a controlled stream of particles exciting the sensor. Our Cleantech Full Body Cover Guarantee pledges that no particle or dirt will affect the background noise of particle measurement in our Clean Room.

Another example of clean room usage is optical measurement of scattered light. Because scattered light reflected from a surface contains essential information about that surface, having any dust in the light path can disrupt the light amplitude and phase. Therefore, it is best to have the optical setup stationed in a clean room. This can be done in the i-onCONNECT Clean Room.
