On November 21, 2018 i-onCONNECT was privileged to partner with ReMAP to host “Smart Manufacturing For a Connected World”, a workshop where attendees received an overview of market-ready smart manufacturing technologies, including expert advice and information on best practices. Participants were also able to:
- Complete a readiness assessment to identify opportunities for their organizations to adopt smart manufacturing technologies, and
- Hear from a startup that successfully implemented a new digital manufacturing technology, and how it has delivered benefits to their operations.
On August 29, 2018 i-onCONNECT hosted an after-hours business mixer for our fellow Burnaby Board of Trade members. It was a great opportunity for dozens of small business owners and local professionals to connect with each other and for us to thank the BBOT folks who support us throughout the year.
On July 28, 2018 i-onCONNECT hosted a fantastic seminar with Patrick von Pander to help sales and business development professionals at all levels brush up on their buying processes, sales styles, buying styles, and conversation arts skills. It was a fun day of learning how to convert more prospects to clients and how to keep clients loyal.
i-onCONNECT was the location for a Night School event, held by a local software reseller on May 3, 2018, where we showed just how flexible we can be with our space. All furniture shown above was taken from our Desmond Boardroom and set up to create the perfect open space with a cozy classroom feel for learning and connecting. More than 100 people participated in this event.

On January 31, 2018, i-onCONNECT celebrated our Grand Opening with 140 members of Metro Vancouver’s high-tech, academic, and entrepreneurial communities. The event was held in the Sanctuary, a flexible, open-concept, state-of-the-art event space that gave our guests enough room to move around and mingle, as well as comfortably listen to our keynote speakers. There was a buzz in the air as guests toured our 26,000 square feet facility and saw the massive potential for i-onCONNECT to make an impact on the community, which we have been realizing since that night.
