David C. Dueck is President of National Importers Inc., Grantham Holdings Ltd., McAllister Industries Ltd., and DCD Design & Manufacturing Ltd. As a visionary leader, he has owned and operated small and medium-sized businesses in a range of industries, including food, steel, real estate, software, and manufacturing. His businesses have produced and marketed a number of patented products. Mr. Dueck serves as a corporate Director for over 20 Canadian companies. He served as Chair, Director, and Lead Independent Director of Photon Control Inc. Mr. Dueck holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia.
Michael Weston is the founder and CEO of Cube Global Storage Ltd., a data and physical asset storage company based in Victoria, BC. He is also the owner of the Milwest Centre, a high-security post-disaster facility with institutional clients whose requirements for business continuance are mission-critical. It has been described as “the safest building in British Columbia.” Mr. Weston is a leader focused on long-term strategy and committed to leading-edge business practices. He served on the Board of VIATEC (Victoria Innovation, Advanced Technology and Entrepreneurship Council), Greater Victoria Development Agency (GVDA), and Photon Control Inc. Mr. Weston is a member of the Victoria Chamber of Commerce. He is a supporting member of the South Island Prosperity Project (previously GVDA), which brings together South Island municipalities with First Nation Bands. Mr. Weston was also a partner of Milan Ilich, who was owner of Progressive Construction Ltd. and Progressive Contracting Ltd.
Over an eight-year period, Mr. Dueck and Mr. Weston made contributions to Photon Control Inc. that contributed to an increase in the company’s valuation from $2 million to $148 million.
